I Cured My Asthma – You Can Cure Yours Too

I suffered with asthma and severe allergies for more than 40 years and, like you and many others, grew to hate the side effects and resulting damage to my body from using expensive antihistamines and asthma drugs that never really worked.

My main asthma trigger has always been exposure to cat dander which resulted in a life-threatening asthma attack with a visit to the emergency room. More than six years ago I was in South America researching and documenting several projects with my friend, Stan Grist, an explorer and prospector. He suddenly developed severe life-threatening bronchial asthma while we were in a small, remote village in the Amazon jungle in Ecuador.

He was so ill he could barely walk and was mostly bedridden. We went to a local doctor who told us it was asthma and advised us to return to a major city for treatment. In Quito, we were able to find a respected lung specialist trained in the U.S. He confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed some expensive drugs: Prednisone and antibiotics, along with two different inhalers. The drugs only slightly improved Stan’s condition, but also proved to have undesirable side effects. He was experiencing a rapid heart rate, headache, sore throat and stomach upset. He was feeling irritable and tense.

Even though he was exhausted he could not sleep because of the effect of the prescription drugs. He was also still bedridden and unable to work or enjoy any activities. This same man, several months earlier, had climbed to the top of a 14,000 foot mountain, could now barely walk or breathe.

His asthma symptoms started to get much worse, so he went back to the doctor for different asthma medication which proved to be equally ineffective. He also became hyper-sensitive to just about everything in his environment...

I have something to share with you.

When I was diagnosed as asthmatic this marked the beginning of what seemed to be a never-ending struggle between life and death with a condition that almost destroyed my life.

I remember vividly the pain and the deep agony I went through. When in company, I even tried to pretend that everything was alright!

It’s small wonder I wage a personal crusade against asthma even to this day. The sleepless nights, constant hacking cough, the frightful feeling of suffocation, and continuous wheezing brought pain beyond words in the chest area. My life can only be described as very unpleasant and difficult to manage.

It was a childhood stripped of frolics, merriment and fun. I felt like an outcast when it came to extra-curricular activities. I envied my friends who didn’t seem to have my health problem.

Not being able to participate in sport activities and events, missing school on a regular basis and frequent hospital visits became a habitual routine and one that left an indelible and a disturbing effect on the psyche. Needless to say, it left a scar.

But, I had a dream. I wanted to get rid of asthma once and for all. I decided it was too expensive to deny myself a good and healthy life so it didn’t take too long for me to spring into action and set out to look for a cure.

At that time, I didn’t know how to do it but backed by confidence and a small ray of hope, I knew it was possible. I continued with my daily life, but I never lost focus of my main goal. In trying times, all I was armed with was my faith.

Eventually, after intensive research, buying books on the subject, traveling to other countries, meeting health experts and doctors, and trying countless ways to cure my asthma disease, I felt it was time to go for a medical test. I did just that.

I was nervous until the day the report arrived. As I read through it, the frustration built over the years dissolved. I knew I had achieved my primary goal.

The report surprised my parents and family members. I was a little surprised, too, though I knew what I had done to bring such results. Only in my adulthood did I discover and fully realize an asthma treatment and subsequent cure.
